I finally received my new Moi dix Mois DIXANADU DVD yesterday!
First of all, let me just say I think this was the best DVD Moi dix Mois has put out yet. The extra videos were amusing to watch, and the concert footage was amazing.
The first part of it I watched the "Features" section of the DVD which includes the Documentary of Europe, the audio Documentary, and then the final Documentary of Paris, France.
I found myself mostly interested in the first Documentary of Europe. It was interesting to see how this part was organized to show scenes from each country Moi dix Mois visited, and footage of things they did there. My most favorite parts where the times when everyone in the band was acting crazy, like when Mana was playing in the playground, when they all went to the grocery store and when everyone started air guitaring together and Hayato just started dancing on his own. Very funny! XD
The more serious scenes of Mana taking photo shoots were extremely beautiful, and I personally really like it because it shows of the scenic beauty of Europe that many people never get to see (unless of course, you live in Europe).
I honestly didn't watch all of the audio commentary since it was basically the same as the first Documentary, only with the band members talking about what was going on. I'm not fluent in Japanese so I couldn't understand everything that was going on, so I got a little bored with that.
Finally for the France Documentary. It was nice to see video footage of Paris again, and I can understand it being a Documentary all on its own since France is a special place to Mana and it was the ending live...but...I feel like it gets repetitive after a while, especially if you have already watched the DVD from the last Europe Tour, Invite to Immorality. None the less, its fun to watch extras with the "newer" line up, since is the first video we have gotten to see since the change of band members. I've concluded from watching the Fated raison d'etre DVD that Seth, Hayato, and Sugiya seem to be more out going and friendly than the past members...or maybe its just that Mana is actually letting us see a side of them that we were never allowed to see of Juka, Kazuno, and Tohru.
Finally I watched the full concert video.
I have never really gotten completely into concert videos since the Dix Infernal DVD, because I felt like the other live videos of Moi dix Mois were a little lacking of power.
This time, I felt like all the band members were excited and full of energy during this concert, and the fans really encouraged them on and brought forth more power into the venue. I thought it was an interesting effect that the cameras in the venue recorded from the ceiling as well.
The songs were great and the band had a lot of energy in this DVD. The one thing I thought would have been a good idea to keep in the DVD is Moi dix Mois teaching the audience how to do the "D-I-X" movements to dispell bound. It would have brought in a little something for newcomers to Moi dix Mois to learn when they enter the world of Moi dix Mois in the future. Perhaps they will just catch on though.
Other than that, if you are interested in keeping pictures from the DVD, I took over 600 screen shots, but I only uploaded about 9 pages worth on my photo bucket. I simply took the pictures that turned out the best. Some of the rest I took are a little reptitive or blurry, so I didn't include those. I also couldn't get good photos of the air guitar scene, so I created small animated gifs of that scene. If you would like to see them please go to this link.

Anyway, thats about it. I hope all of you who received the DVD also enjoyed it as much as I did! I really loved this one!
