DIXANADU Limited Edition
I finally got my DIXANADU Limited Edition in the mail this morning!!
I'm so happy~!★
Funny thing is, I wasn't quite sure I was going to get it today because I thought maybe the mail person already left by the time it got to our post office and as soon as I walked out the door this morning there was the mail lady ready to give it to me!
So I opened it up and put in the CD, and its really amusing. X3
Of course the instrumental versions are nice to have. I wont go into depth with that because many of us already know what DIXANADU sounds like. I do think that the instrumentals were a nice release to have. Its convenient for background music, or as Mana says, Karaoke. (Not that I'd ever do that o_o)
Anyway, you get so much more with this CD.
It comes with four mini games along with a desktop Mana, calendar, and clock. Its actually kind of obnoxious, but extremely cute.
Anyway, I took a ton of pictures of the games and the desktop goodies, so please take a look at everything!
Oh yeah and sorry, the pictures might take a while to load. They were best quality as large pictures in bmp format. Its going to take a little longer, but its worth it.

Inside
Inside without the glare, but now its blurry...
and of course another flyer...I dont even want to think of how many DIXANADU fliers I have now...
This is my desktop now with all the little extras they put on the CD. Obnoxious isn't it? XD
Infact, its so crazy that NOTHING stays behind windows. The clock, calendar, and desktop Matin Mana all float over your windows and show up above everything you pull up. Matin Mana stands around has a bunch of bats that fly all around the screen while he moves around and does random poses. Then the calendar Mana sits there and blinks his eyes all the time, and the clock isn't so bad. It has a butterfly that flaps its wings, but its not like obnoxious like the rest. XD
If you click on desktop Matin Mana he makes a little menu pop up where you go can go to the Monologue+THeater and Midi: Nette websites. You can also access note pad and the computer calculator from him. Cute!!
Ok, now for Games.
First Game: Hide and Walk

Oh look! You can switch Mana's outfit colors from black to white!
He even plays the games in the outfit color you choose.
Of course Mana can't sit still in anything, so he sits there and peaks out from behind the pillars whenever you're not making him walk around. XD
Mana trying to get over to the next pillar to hide behind so drunken Sugiya doesn't see him. Go faster!!
Same thing but in black outfit. I took screen shots of him in both black and white outfits just to differenciate.
Because Matin Mana hiding is totally not obviouse in any way. (snickers)
uh oh! He was caught!
Sugiya: STOP HIDING ON ME.
But this time a winner is Matin Mana!
Also a winner here too. :B
I love the booze drinking Sugiya in the background. XDDD
Next Game: Catch the Noodle (or as the katakana says, Ramen)

Mana just like chucks it at you down a little shoot and its sooo hard in my oppinion, to catch the thing!

White vs. Black again
Hayato lost. D;
Hahahaha Loser. XD
But that time he won!
I would have taken better screen shots but sometimes they move really fast so its hard to capter everything.
Next Game: Keep Way on the Lake

There wasn't really much I could screen shot on this one. Again, it goes really fast. He just starts walking and you have to drag the little blocks in a line for him to get across as a bridge. If you don't get them in time he just falls into the water and looks like this:
K's expression is priceless! XD
Final Game: Build the Rail Bridge

you have to figure out how far to build the bridge using the meter. It goes back and forth so you just have to press the button when you're ready.
Once you've pressed "build it", Seth starts building a bridge
and then Mana rolls over to the little DIX island.
If he gets there, you did good.
Its best in that game to get the railing right up to the front of the island thing instead of on it because you get more points that way. Just thought you guys should know that.
Finally, when its time to quit the game, heres the ending screen:
and thats the DIXANADU Limited Edition CD! :D
Its a lot of fun and keeps you entertained. They play the instrumental dixanadu songs in the background of the games and they have little random sound effects. Its cute. X3
The desktop stuff is still very obnoxious, but I like obnoxious things so it works.
